Three hot drinks that are ideal in the morning. Nothing better than a delicious hot drink during these cold days. Here are three cozy drinks that are perfect to keep you warm during the cold winter days.
You may already have seen this in your Instagram feed. This is a drink based on milk and turmeric. The turmeric gives this drink a light yellow color, hence the name Golden milk.
This is what you need to make this totally hip drink:
- 500 ml oat or almond milk
- 1 tablespoon honey (you can adjust this to taste)
- 1 level tablespoon of turmeric
- 1 cinnamon stick
- ½ tablespoon ginger in powder form (add to taste)
Heat the milk in a saucepan and add the spices. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes on a low heat, don't forget to stir once in a while. Serve in a nice cup and add some extra turmeric as a topping.
Healthy hot chocolate milk
Nothing better than to start the day with a delicious cup of chocolate milk. Below is a healthy variant with raw cacao, the healthy ingredient in chocolate.
This is what you will need for that deliciously healthy chocolate milk:
- 200 ml almond milk
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
- 2 teaspoons honey
- a pinch of salt
Pour the milk in a saucepan and bring it to the boil. Then add the cocoa powder, stir well and bring to the boil again. Pour this into a nice glass and enjoy!
I'm sure that you have already seen this before. These days, an ordinary classic matcha tea is no longer hip... If you want to be hip, then give this matcha latté a try. You can prepare this drink in many ways. Below is my favorite recipe.
- 1 teaspoon matcha
- 300 ml milk of your choice or 300 ml coconut milk (the creamy kind)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons water
Mix the matcha powder with the water until nicely smooth, preferably use the matcha bamboo whisk. Then heat the milk in a pan. Make sure not to bring it to the boil. If you do, simply let the milk cool down. Add the dissolved matcha and stir well.
