5 tips for a healthy start of the new school year

 

With September approaching it feels like there's a new start awaiting. And you really don't have to be in the school benches to make the most of it. How do you live up to your good intentions 2.0? Be inspired by Xavies' 5 refreshing tips!

 

1/ Realistic goal

After a carefree holiday, in which you ate when you were hungry, it is time to put things in order again.  Make a realistic plan and keep an equally realistic goal in mind. In this way, you will remain motivated to actually achieve what you want to achieve – from healthier eating to losing a few pounds. Are you starting on an ambitious plan until the end of 2016 right away? Then make sure your interim objectives are also addressed. With a realistic goal in mind, you immediately have a practical handhold come September.

 

2 / Preparation is everything

To make your plan succeed, you must of course make some preparations. If you want to boost your health, it's not a good idea to have your home well stocked with chips and cola. Set up a meal schedule for each day of the week and go to the supermarket on weekends. In this way, you can start working in the kitchen on Saturday or Sunday. These spelt biscuits or this snack with yoghurt ice cream, fruit and granola are for example perfect snacks that you can prepare in the weekend. Not only fun, but also very practical!

 

3 / Breakfast is a must

Delete snoozing from your list and start getting up a bit earlier from September onwards. This will allow you to start the day quietly and take the time for a delicious breakfast. With this fruity recipe, every weekday morning will feel like a carefree Sunday morning. After a hearty breakfast with 1 to 2 pieces of fruit, 55 grams of yoghurt and 40 grams of granovie, you will feel satisfied until noon. Has anyone seen the newspaper?

 

4 / Provide variation

Anyone who is serious about eating healthily sometimes ends up in an unnecessary routine of apples and aubergines. But healthy food is much more than that! In order to achieve your goals, they must not only be feasible. You also have to occasionally reward yourself.
